Fantasy Hockey: Week 5 Preview and Waiver Pickups

How's it going hockey nerds, vizioN back again with this week's preview and waiver pickups. I'm sorry I couldn't get this week's edition out earlier. I was a bit busy with some life and school stuff, so I apologize for that. Also big thanks to those who read my Zibanejad post a few days ago, I hope he turns it up for you guys! Going to cut straight to the chase now, so without further adieu, here is this week's edition.

Week Preview

Before I start, keep an eye out on EDM. Jesse Puljujarvi was placed on the COVID-19 protocol list last week but was cleared yesterday. Mikko Koskinen was also held out as a precaution but there has been no update regarding his status. The incubation period for COVID-19 is 2 weeks so there is a chance Puljujarvi and other EDM players may have COVID-19. EDM played OTT and MTL last week so those 2 teams may be a risk.

16 teams play 4 games this week. 10 teams play 3 games this week. 5 teams play 2 games this week. Those 5 teams are BOS, COL, MTL, PHI, and VGK. So make sure to stay away from these 5 teams.

WPG is the lone team with 3 off-day games. CGY, CAR, CHI, DET, EDM, FLA, NYR, OTT, VAN, and WSH have two off-day games.

TOR has 3 games against OTT this week. TOR is 4th in scoring an average of 3.53 goals per game. OTT is last in the league allowing an average of 4 goals per game. Expect some fireworks in their three-game series.
