The Leafs Have a Gem on Their Hands and He's Only Getting Started

It's no secret that Justin Holl has been one of Leafs' best defenseman this season. Anyone who has kept up with the Toronto Marlies over the years saw how good Holl was first hand. Holl took his opportunity and ran with it last year. This year, Holl has taken a huge step and looks like a bonafide top 4 defenseman.

What's Going on With Mika Zibanejad? A Statistical Analysis

It is no secret that Mika Zibanejad is struggling this season. After potting 41 goals and tallying 75 points in 57 games last season, good enough for a 59 goal, 108 point pace, many thought Zibanejad has finally reached the upper echelon of hockey and is fulfilling the potential that beloved former Ottawa Senators general manager, Bryan Murray, once saw. However, it’s a different story this season. The New York Rangers star centre has 3 points in 12 games and his performance has left a lot to be desired this season. His 3 points rank him seventh among all Rangers players and tie him with Filip Chytil and Colin Backwell. To put Zibanejad’s performance in perspective, Chytil and Backwell have the same amount of points as Zibanejad but have only played 5 and 4 games, respectively. This brings us to our question for today, what is going on with Mika Zibanejad?

Is Father Time Catching up to Mark Giordano?

When all is said and done, Mark Giordano will go down as one of the best players to have ever wear a Flames jersey. What makes Giordano’s career so unique and special is that he arrived on the scene as an undrafted rookie. Giordano not only went undrafted in the NHL but in junior hockey too. Following stints in the AHL and Russia, Giordano finally made his mark during the 2008-09 season. The Flames’s captain has patrolled the Calgary Flames’ blueline for over 15 seasons playing over 900 games for the Flames.

Fantasy Hockey: How to Conduct Your Own Due Diligence

As a frequent resident of r/fantasyhockey, these are some of the questions I see daily, and trust me, we probably both feel the same way about these questions. As someone who is trying to become a content creator, I think the best way to engage with your fanbase is to build connections, and what better way to do that than to respond to their questions. So that's what I did last night. After responding to about 90% of the comments on my previous threads, I didn't realize that an hour went by. After all that, I thought it would be best if I teach some of you how I evaluate players. I might have mini rants throughout this post but you'll how to conduct your own research and due diligence, so it's a win-win! It's so easy that I'll break it down into two steps.

Regression Candidate: Tony DeAngelo

Tony DeAngelo has been somewhat of an enigma throughout his hockey career. It’s no secret that the defenseman is offensively talented, but on-ice misconducts and toxic social media behaviour has proved DeAngelo to be a headcase. Last season, DeAngelo was an integral piece of the New York Rangers, putting up 53 points in 68 games. The real question is, was DeAngelo just a product of Mika Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin? Or was the New Jersey native able to propel himself? We’re here today to take a look at what went right for DeAngelo last season and if he can continue to build on from last season.

What's poppin hockey nerds. It's your boy vizioN back with another analysis. You might have saw me the other today when I did an analysis on Cam Atkinson as a sleeper.
