New Beginnings

When COVID-19 sent our world into a frenzy last year, I got stuck at home with nothing to do. Yeah sure, I was shooting some photos here and there but it was hard with everything on lockdown. I was just at home watching my life tick away with each passing minute. I knew that I didn't want to end my summer with anything accomplished, so I set out a series of goals that I hoped to accomplish by the end of the summer. One of those goals was to build a website. Unfortunately, I got a bit sidetracked and the project got lost in my life. As cliche as it is, I set a New Year resolution goal to finish my website before the end of the month. After many roadblocks, I’m happy to announce that I’ve completed my goal and the website is finally up and running!

In the meantime, this website will be used as a portfolio for my photography. Eventually, I do plan on creating sub-sections for my portfolio, rather than keeping all the photos clustered on one page. I also have a ton of photos on a hard drive, which I need to go through and edit, so I will start updating the website and my Instagram page periodically! I will also be keeping a blog on the side for those who are interested in hockey or want to keep up with my mundane life.

On to the next point. I'm an introvert and I love my personal space. Obviously, I still like talking to people and hanging out with my friends but being cooped up at home has lowkey been driving me crazy. Humans need social and physical interaction. We're just built like that. I've always sucked at opening up so I guess I'll just use the blog as a journal or something along the lines of that. I will probably just use it to dump out any ideas or plans that come across my mind. I do not expect anyone to keep up with this, but it'll be a nice way to document my growth/life and have it memorialize down somewhere.

Stay safe out there and don't forget to wear a mask. Cheers!
